At Tilting H Ranch, we’re raising grass-fed, grass-finished cattle that spend their days grazing across thousands of wide-open, pristine acres in Arizona’s high country. Here, we’re family, we’re ranchers, we’re cattlemen and we work from sunup to sundown to raise healthy Angus cattle that produce premium beef — free of unwanted hormones, antibiotics, and finishers. We keep it simple.
Our cattle have the freedom to roam in large pastures (more than 40,000 acres in total), with the pastures offering varying landscapes and elevations — from pines to junipers to the desert for which Arizona is known. The same goes for our horses, which we breed, raise, train, and sell. Cowboys at heart, we get a good bit of herding help from our pack of hardworking cow dogs. And, we’re all fans of nearby Cherry Creek Lodge, which offers a welcome cool down after a long day out on the range.
Cattle have grazed the land at and around Tilting H Ranch since 1878. The acres of untouched landscape, complemented by rugged outcroppings and stunning canyons, is home to other wildlife, including elk, bear, and mountain lion. Its history is tied to the Pleasant Valley War, an epic battle between two ranch families. Tilting H Ranch carries an enduring, ranch life tradition forward.
At Tilting H Ranch, our team doesn’t just work at the ranch. The team lives at the ranch, too. We fully embrace this ranching lifestyle, the natural environment, and the opportunities we’re given to work with the land. Guests at Cherry Creek Lodge see that passion immediately upon arrival, as the lodge is located at the Tilting H Ranch headquarters. We saddle up because we couldn’t imagine not.
